Sweta Parmar is a Human Factors Engineer in the Department of Radiology and the Center for Healthcare Quality and Analytics (CHQA) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She received her MS and Ph.D. in Engineering Psychology from Georgia Tech and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Gandhinagar. At CHOP, Sweta provides expertise in human factors and decision theory to support a broad and diverse portfolio of clinical and non-clinical initiatives. She also contributes to CHOP’s enterprise-wide sustainability efforts, including iodine contrast recycling, regulated medical waste reduction, and glass vial recycling by applying human factors and behavioral science approaches to design effective, staff-centered interventions.
