Biography
Laura Thomson is a Program Manager and Senior Human Factors Engineer at Farm. She supports the planning, conducting, and documenting of human factors analyses for user research activities, including usability testing of products and systems. She strives to leverage her personal experience as a patient to develop intuitive products focused on improving clinical outcomes for users. She joins Farm with four years of medical device experience working on infusion pumps at Baxter Healthcare. Her responsibilities included executing process validations, ensuring quality and compliance in manufacturing and service departments, 510(k) submission documentation, FDA and ISO audit preparations, and post market surveillance activities. Laura earned a Master’s Degree in Human Factors Engineering from Tufts University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, and holds a Certificate in Human Factors in Medical Devices and Systems.
