James John is Head of R&D and Product Development at Atmo Biosciences, where he led the design, development, and manufacturing of the Atmo Capsule system for clinical trials and commercialization. Since joining in 2019, he has also served as Vice President of Operations, supporting the company through seed funding and building its prototype capsule. Previously, James was a Principal Consultant at Planet Innovation, managing diagnostics and medical device programs and later moving into business development to align early-stage projects with customer needs. He also spent five years at The Technology Partnership (TTP) in the UK developing drug delivery devices, surgical instrumentation, and smart implants. James began his career with Motorola Australia and completed a PhD at RMIT University on adaptive control systems for MEMS sensors.
