Biography
Jenna L. Marquard, PhD, FACMI is a Professor and the Cora Meidl Siehl Chair in Nursing Research at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. Her primary research interest is in the intersection of human factors engineering and health informatics, including the design and evaluation of health information technology to support clinician and patient decision-making, health data visualization, patient safety, and chronic disease management. Dr. Marquard is widely published in multiple domains and holds leadership roles on several large federally funded projects, including the NIH-funded Massachusetts AI and Technology Center for Connected Care in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease (MassAITC) and AHRQ-funded Patient Safety Learning Laboratory (PSLL). She is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics (FACMI). Dr. Marquard has held a number of leadership positions, including Chair of the Population Health and Systems Cooperative in the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota, and inaugural Co-director of the Center for Nursing and Engineering Innovation at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
