Halley Ruppel is a Research Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and a core faculty member of Clinical Futures, a patient outcomes-focused Center of Emphasis in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute. Her research focuses on barriers and facilitators to implementation and integration of technology into clinical care, with the goal of optimizing safety and outcomes for hospitalized children. She is especially interested in technologies essential to hospital-based nursing practice, including physiologic monitoring devices, electronic health records, and communication technologies.
