Biography
Sam Atlas is a Senior Process Improvement Engineer in the Department of Transformation Management at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) where she is focused on improving patient safety and quality of care through applying engineering methods, including 5S methodology, ergonomics and other lean tools, into complex health systems. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial & systems engineering from Binghamton University where she also received a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Sam’s experience is in Performance/Process Improvement, Project Management and Change Management with work including but not limited to inpatient and Pathology clinical and laboratory supplies optimization, Immunology Histochemistry (IHC) and Frozen Specimen Optimization and engineering analysis in Non-OR and OR procedure settings.
