• Laura Barg-Walkow, PhD, CHFP, CPPS, is a Human Factors Engineer on the Patient Safety Team at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, Colorado. She attained her doctorate degree in Engineering Psychology at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2017. Her research interests include understanding medical errors and applied projects to improve safety, satisfaction, and efficiency in healthcare systems.

Construction-related projects in the past year include: creation of two new acute care inpatient units, evaluation of remodeling psych ED rooms, temporary closure of a critical access path, and (if it counts) helipad closure / temporary helipad process.
