Biography
Laurel Cyr has been working in healthcare risk management for over 20 years. She is the Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences where she leads the Risk Management, Privacy & Information Access, Policies & Procedures, and Emergency Preparedness & Management Programs.
Laurel is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, holds the CPHRM designation through the American Hospital Association, and completed the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Patient Safety Officer Executive Development Program.
When in an active clinical role, Laurel worked in Community Care with paediatric brain injury and adult complex care, and as a Medical Services Consultant specializing in multiple trauma, brain injury and spinal cord injury.
