Maria Mawhinney
Biography
Maria joined Ensera Design as a Human Factors Engineer in 2022 with expertise in research and psychology. Her background has been invaluable to optimizing the usability and user experience of products, ensuring they resonate with the end-users on both ergonomic and psychological levels.
Maria possesses a master’s degree in psychology which gives her a deeper understanding of human behavior, cognition, and perception. This knowledge allows her to understand intuitive and ergonomic designs that integrate into users’ lives while maximizing safety and efficiency. At Ensera Design, she has been involved in a variety of projects that required the generation of risk documentation, preliminary analyses, formative evaluations, and HF validation testing. Her main motivator is to advocate for user-centric design principles to create products that not only meet users’ needs but exceed their expectations.
