Praveen Prabhakar KR is a Senior Human Factors Engineer at Medtronic, where he serves as the HFE lead for multiple products including wearables, implants, and diagnostic systems comprising AI-enabled software. In this role, he oversees user-centered design for both hardware and software in new product development and sustaining projects. Previously, Praveen was a Human Factors Engineer at Metaphase Design Group (part of Aptar Pharma), where he led multiple human factors and mixed methods research studies across consumer and medical products. Praveen holds a B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from NIT Trichy, India, and a M.S in Kinesiology with a concentration in Cognitive & Motor Neuroscience from Michigan State University, where he also earned a Graduate Certificate in Computational Modeling. He is a member of the AAMI Human Factors Engineering Committee and is the co-chair for the HFES digital health track.
