Ismail Gevrek is a military and commercial helicopter pilot with a PhD and over 4200 flight hours on numerous platforms including the UH-60, Mi-17, UH-1H, R-44, and Bell-206. He currently serves as an Instructor and Captain Pilot at the Turkish Gendarmerie Flight Academy, specializing in night vision goggles, firefighting, instrument flight, and first-time pilot training. From November 2025, he will also serve as a check pilot (Flight Examiner). He holds ICAO CPL/IR/FI certifications. Dr. Gevrek has published numerous studies on pilot fatigue, night vision systems, and aviation safety.
