Dr. Gerardo Prieto-Hurtado is an Honorary past President of the Ciudad Juarez College ofAnesthesiology as well as a past Professor of Physiology and Anesthesiology at the UniversityAutonomous of Guadalajara. Moreover, he is the past President of the Mexican Federation ofAnesthesiology Colleges (FMCA). Currently, he is the Chair of the FMCA's Patient Safety TaskForce and an active Consultive Council of the Federation. He is also a co-editor of the FirstMexican Anesthesiology textbook “Anesthesiology from Bases to the Practice”.
