Hernán Espinosa
Biography
Hernán Espinosa is a product leader and designer with a diverse background in product management, UX design, and software development. At Atmo Biosciences, he has defined product strategies, led the redesign of digital health interfaces using human factors engineering, and implemented robust cybersecurity and privacy frameworks. His earlier roles at Atmo included digital project management and software development, where he improved release reliability, introduced agile practices, and created tools to streamline product calibration. He holds a PhD from RMIT University, where his research focused on explainable AI, machine learning, and user experience in recommender systems. Before entering the medtech field, he taught and led research in Colombia, designing courses and projects centred on interactive product design and communication. This blend of academic and industry experience enables him to bridge strategy, technology, and design, delivering user-centered, commercially viable healthcare solutions.
