Biography
Ashley is a Registered Nurse and Senior Design Strategist dedicated to transforming the healthcare landscape by integrating her expertise in Human-Centred Design, Nursing, and Communications. Her diverse background offers a unique perspective, allowing her to effortlessly connect with clinicians in meaningful and authentic ways. Growing up in Montreal Ashley is a fluent French speaker and enjoys engaging in her second language.
With a decade of experience at SickKids hospital, Ashley excelled as a nurse and inspired her teams by bringing joy to the workplace. As Chair of the Nursing Council, she represented the voices of 1,800 RNs within the organization. Later, as the Clinical Design & Operational Readiness Lead for the new hospital redevelopment project, she strived to redesign not just the physical spaces but also care delivery.
At HHF, Ashley uses a heart-centred, empathetic approach to understanding the lived experience of those she is co-creating solutions for. She brings her keen knowledge of the healthcare landscape to inform sustainable and meaningful design.
