Biography
Paul Barach, B.Med.Sci., MD, MPH, Maj (Ret.) is a double boarded anesthesiologist and criticalcare physician-scientist, senior faculty and advisor to Dean, Thomas Jefferson University. Hetrained at the Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Paul is anelected member of the lead honorary society of the Association of University Anesthesiologists. Dr.Barach has a 25-year history of helping healthcare systems, hospitals, rethink problems andsolutions with a focus on how best to implement and sustain care pathways.

He is a formally trained health services and human factors researcher, with advanced postgraduate training in advanced medical education and assessment methods from the HarvardMedical School Josiah Macy Program and lean-six sigma techniques at Intermountain Healthcare.He has had additional training in epidemiology and statistics including both methodological as wellas applied HTA research.
