Maya is a Senior Human Factors Scientist at Research Collective, a Human Factors and User Experience research and design consultancy based in Tempe, Arizona. Her unique background spans academic pursuits in anthropology (Broward College), cognitive psychology (New College of Florida and Columbia University), and clinical medicine (Saint James School of Medicine) along with early career experience in hospitality management as a service and operations manager. In her role, she brings a diverse and comprehensive perspective to medical device evaluation studies, collaborating with team members and clients to conduct consumer research, task analysis, usability testing, and user experience design within the field of medical device development.
