Biography
Sarah is a Human Factors Specialist at Healthcare Human Factors (HHF), a team of over 30 human factors specialists and designers dedicated to improving the safety, usability, and effectiveness of healthcare products and services.

With nine years of experience supporting pharmaceutical and medical device companies, Sarah has extensive expertise in human factors design, development, and evaluation. She is well versed in FDA Human Factors Guidance and ISO 62366 and has led usability evaluations for a wide range of medical devices and systems, including infusion pumps, ventilators, patient monitors, nasal high-flow systems, IV catheters, and combination devices. Her work is grounded in a strong empirical foundation, informed by more than 12 years of experience in clinical and applied research.

Sarah holds an MA and PhD in Cognitive Psychology from York University, where her research focused on the cognitive mechanisms underlying decision-making and human–computer interaction.
