Emily Hildebrand
Biography
Emily is the VP of Human Factors at Research Collective, a human factors and user experience consulting firm that specializes in healthcare and medical devices. She has a PhD in Applied Cognitive Science from Arizona State University and has been conducting research and consulting in the healthcare space for over 15 years. She has worked at the Phoenix VA researching the human factors involved in reusable medical devices, performed research at the Mayo Clinic studying surgical teams and team communication tools, and consulted at Exponent on the development of products and conducted failure analysis of medical devices to support ongoing litigation cases and expert witness testimony.

At Research Collective, Emily leads a team that supports medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers to integrate human factors into the product development process and maintain the necessary regulatory compliance to bring devices and products to market that are usable, enjoyable, and safe.
