Biography
Ela Liberman-Pincu MID, PhD.
Dr. Ela Liberman-Pincu is a designer and design researcher, specializing in medical devices and the cognitive aspects of human-system interaction. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Industrial Design, and a PhD in Human Factors.
With over 20 years of experience in product development, Ela is the founder and owner of Liberela Design and Development, a studio dedicated to designing innovative medical technologies. Her work focuses on creating meaningful, user-centered solutions for healthcare environments, emphasizing participatory design and cultural sensitivity.
She is a lecturer at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where she teaches courses on human factors in medical device design and human-system interaction. Ela’s research explores how design can shape medical technologies' emotional and functional experience, including service robots and socially assistive systems.
