Biography
Andrea Maxwell, MD, MPH, is a pediatric critical care attending at Children's Wisconsin/Medical College of Wisconsin. She received her medical degree from the University of Michigan, as well as her Master of Public Health from Harvard University. She completed her medicine/pediatric residency at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She underwent advanced training in quality improvement through the Quality Scholars program at Cincinnati Childrens, completing their Intermediate Improvement Science Series and Advanced Improvement Methods training as well as leadership training. She also completed a certificate program at Ohio State in Usability and User Experience in Health Care. She is interested in the intersection between quality improvement, patient safety, and human factors. As an Associate Medical Director of the PICU and Associate Medical Director of Mission Control, she collaborates with various teams to improve operational efficiency and improve care.
