Biography
Dr. Simonson is a Human Factors scientist who specializes in studying and developing complex
sociotechnical work-systems to improve consumer, frontline employee, leadership, and
organizational outcomes. His research and operationally embedded experience have been applied
to healthcare, military, aviation, and refinery domains. He is an expert in and employs the use of
experimental, quasi-experimental, and applied Human Factors and complex statistical methods
with a focus on training, teaming, and patient/system safety.
