Dan Korus is a Senior Human Factors Engineer with over five years of experience in the life sciences and medical device industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a Master’s degree in Human Factors from the University of Minnesota. Dan has contributed to human-centered design and usability research across a range of device types and clinical contexts, working with both large multinational organizations and smaller consultancies. He currently serves as a Senior Human Factors Engineer at IDE Group, where he leads usability strategy and testing for emerging healthcare technologies.

Dan is a founding board member of the HFES Minneapolis chapter and a two-time attendee of the HFES Symposium on Human Factors in Healthcare. His work focuses on bridging the gap between clinical reality and usability testing, with a passion for creating safe, intuitive, and effective medical devices. He is eager to share practical insights on simulating realistic clinical environments to improve the quality and relevance of usability evaluations.
