Sara Kennedy
Biography
Sara Kennedy is a doctoral candidate at Clemson University in the Planning, Design and Built Environment program with a focus on Architecture + Health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Michigan State University from 2019. She has experience in commercial, higher education, and residential interior design. She works as a Graduate Research Assistant to Dr Anjali Joseph for The Center for Health Facilities Design and Testing. Her doctoral research explores how the design of the operating room impacts workflow efficiency, communication, and workload during robotic-assisted surgery. She was selected as the 2023-2024 AIA Arthur N. Tuttle, Jr Graduate Fellow in Health Facility Planning and Design by the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH).
