Tabitha Chiu, BEng, MHSc, leads the Human Factors and Systems Design team at Sinai Health System in Toronto, Canada. Her work focuses on embedding human factors into hospital operations, including patient safety reviews, operational improvements, environmental design, health technology implementation, and business continuity planning. She has consulted for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Michael Garron Hospital, and global medical device companies through Healthcare Human Factors at the University Health Network. Tabitha is passionate about transforming healthcare systems and technology design, and her contributions have been recognized through awards such as the HIROC Patient Safety Talks and the Science of Care Innovation competition.
