Biography
Varun is a Human Factors Engineering graduate student at Tufts University with hands-on experience in medical device usability, risk management, and regulatory-facing Human Factors work. He is also a Human Factors Engineering Co-op at Johnson & Johnson MedTech (Heart Recovery), supporting FDA, EU MDR, NMPA, and PMDA submissions through formative and summative usability studies, post-market insights, and HF documentation.
His work spans clinical observations, usability testing, use-related risk analysis, and process improvement, with a strong focus on designing safe, intuitive healthcare systems for clinicians and caregivers. He has previously led UX redesign initiatives in fintech, driving measurable operational improvements through human-centered design.
He is passionate about applying Human Factors in healthcare, from medical device development and post-market surveillance to caregiver training and patient safety.
