Laurie Reed is the Senior Director of Human Factors at Loring Human Factors with 25 years of experience working as an HF consultant focused on medical devices, life sciences and healthcare products. Laurie leads and oversees user research and usability testing efforts across the generative, formative, and summative phases of product development. She has an extensive background in conducting user studies and a constant desire to understand and advocate for users.
Prior to her role at Loring HF, Laurie was the Senior Director of HF at Farm Design. Laurie holds a B.A. in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University and has authored numerous human factors publications over the course of her career. Laurie is a member of HFES, an editor for the Human Factors in Healthcare Journal, and an Advisory Board Member to the Tufts University Human Factors Medical Device Certificate Program.
