Dr. Citty teaches in undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in both the accelerated and traditional BSN programs and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Dr. Citty’s research has focused on methods to improve nursing care and patient outcomes; specifically focusing on patient safety, healthcare quality, infusion of evidence-based practices, and optimization of health for older adults. Areas of interest focus on nutrition care, nursing care, wound care, health promotion, disease prevention, end of life and palliative care, and clinical innovation. Dr. Citty’s service in the regional community, the UF College of Nursing, the University of Florida, UF Health, and the Veterans Health Administration seeks to positively impact health for individuals and healthcare outcomes for systems.
