Biography
I am clinician and leader who has been privileges and honored to be part of leadership teams in various Maternal Newborn organizations. I began my career as a bedside Nurse at SickKids for over 25 years. I was nurtured, trusted, and respected for my work and commitment. This provided various opportunities for leadership. I was responsible for the NICU and NNFU Clinic supporting transformational change and leading the SickKids/NICU vision. I was also privileged to lead provincially in a variety of strategic work groups THINC and PCMCH working. I am a Manager and Leader in neonatal health both nationally and internationally as a subject matter expert (SME) e.g., East Coast Health and Quatar. I then began to slowly move myself and my family to cottage county in Simcoe Muskoka. This is when I began the Maternal Newborn focused work with my great partners at William Osler Health System, Orillia Soldiers Memorial and currently Royal Victoria Regional Health Center. These great organizations provided continued leadership in the Maternal Newborn Programs. I am currently at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Center leading the Maternal Newborn program and partnering with HIROC to support enhancement to our work culture with a quality and safety lens.
