Harsh Sanghavi, MS, CUXP, is a Senior Human Factors Consultant at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia. He applies human factors and human-centered design principles to improve patient safety, healthcare quality, and overall care experience. His recent projects include usability testing of medical devices, simulation-based evaluations of clinical spaces, workflow redesigns in emergency and telemetry care, and the development of wayfinding and service design strategies to support patients and staff.

He earned his Master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a concentration in Human Factors and Ergonomics from Virginia Tech and is a Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP) through the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics. Harsh emphasizes practical methods such as prototyping, journey mapping, and ethnographic observation to create safer, more usable systems in healthcare.
